Frequently Asked Questions: Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) Programs & Services
Everything you need to know about our programs, diagnostics and services
Questions about Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI)'s 8 Pillars of Longevity, what each program includes, how the day works, and how to get started at our Double Bay, Sydney clinic.
Longevity medicine is a specialist medical field focused on identifying the biological causes of ageing before disease develops, the opposite of traditional medicine, which waits for symptoms before acting.
At Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) in Double Bay, Sydney, every program is structured around the 8 Pillars of Longevity, a clinical framework covering Chronic Disease Risk Reduction, Hormones, Medication and Supplementation, Exercise, Bone and Muscle Health, Nutrition and Gut Microbiome, Restorative Sleep, Emotional Health and Stress Management, and Skin and Hair Health.

Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI)'s programs are designed for individuals aged 30-65 who want to take a proactive approach to their health, whether they feel well and want to understand what's happening beneath the surface, or have specific concerns they want addressed with precision.
Many patients come with goals around energy optimisation, cognitive performance, cardiovascular risk, hormonal balance, weight, skin health, or a family history of disease. You do not need to be unwell. Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) also offers corporate programs for executive teams and organisations across finance, law, technology, and high-performance industries.
Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) is led by specialist longevity doctors, not generalist GPs, and delivers everything in-house in a single day at its Double Bay clinic, with no referrals and no fragmented results.
Assessments measure biological age via telomere length, brain function via WAVi EEG, gut microbiome diversity via DNA analysis, genetic disease and cancer risk, VO2 max, arterial health, bone density, body composition, resting metabolic rate, skin and hair health, emotional health, and sleep quality. All scored across the 8 Pillars using the LMI Traffic Light system.
The 8 Pillars of Longevity are Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI)'s clinical framework covering every major biological system that drives or accelerates ageing.
These pillars are deeply interconnected. Poor sleep disrupts hormonal balance, which affects metabolic health, which influences cardiovascular risk. Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) addresses them as a system, not in isolation.

The Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) Longevity Pillars Traffic Light gives you a visual score for each of the 8 pillars on a 1-10 scale, showing exactly where your biology is thriving and where it needs attention, at a glance.
It becomes the central reference point in your Longevity Summary report and is tracked across your review appointments. No other longevity clinic in Australia uses this scoring framework.
1 = Red, needs urgent attention
5 = Yellow, moderate, room to improve
10 = Green, optimal
The Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) Longevity Index Score is a composite measure of your biological performance across all 8 pillars, benchmarked against your age peers, translating your full biodata into one clear, actionable number.
It integrates blood biomarkers, brain age, cardiovascular data, genetics, gut health, body composition, VO2 max, hormonal profile, sleep, emotional health, and skin health into a single picture of your longevity trajectory. Tracked at every 3-monthly review.

Biological age at Longevity Medicine Institute (LMI) is measured using a Biological Age Clock (Telomere Length analysis), providing your chronological age versus your true biological age, which reflects how your cells are actually functioning.
A person aged 50 chronologically may have the biological markers of someone 10 years younger, or older. The biological age clock sits within the Chronic Disease Risk Reduction pillar and is tracked longitudinally across review appointments.
